Our mission is to lead the delivery of modern, inclusive and impactful SPHE resources in Irish schools. Through the creation of the Let's Talk SPHE platform, we aim to fill a long-standing gap in Irish education by providing engaging digital resources that empower students to navigate adolescence with critical awareness.
Our goal is to help transform SPHE education in Ireland into an inclusive and supportive space where:
Students feel encouraged to learn and explore topics central to their personal development.
Teachers feel confident and empowered to facilitate honest, open discussions.
Parents feel reassured that their teenagers are receiving age-appropriate, relevant education.
Founder
Richie has spent over a decade delivering workshops on mental health, wellbeing, masculinity, consent and sexual health in schools all over Ireland. He has delivered modules in mental fitness and sexual health to Transition Year students in St Benildus College and ran his own private psychotherapy practice in south Dublin working predominantly with adolescents and their parents.
Following the release of his award-winning second book, Let’s Talk (… about relationships, sex and intimacy), written specifically for teenage boys in Ireland, he sought the views of teachers, students, legislators and parents for the two-part RTÉ documentary, Let’s Talk About Sex, (first aired in Sept ’23) which explored the landscape of sex education in Ireland and the challenges of creating a national curriculum in SPHE that would adequately support the needs of teenagers today.
He has also been a prominent member of the RTÉ panel of football analysts for the past fifteen years, and released his searingly honest memoir in 2019, Recovering, which helped to explain his passion for working with young people and why he feels so strongly about supporting their development. Richie may be the Founder of Let’s Talk SPHE, but the young people he has encountered in all areas of his work are the real inspiration for this venture.
Head of Education
Pam works alongside Richie to design curricula, create practical resources, and provide teacher-centred support. Together, they develop materials that give teachers what they need to deliver meaningful, high-quality SPHE and RSE programmes in Irish post-primary schools.
After spending 20 years working as a Guidance Counsellor, SPHE specialist, and Restorative Practice trainer in post-primary schools she has recently earned a First Class Honours Professional Diploma in SPHE and RSE from Dublin City University-a qualification that deepened her expertise in relationships and sexuality education (RSE) and strengthened her commitment to getting it right for young people.
Pam believes deeply in inclusive education, listening to student voices, and finding teaching approaches that actually work in real classrooms. She’s co-authored My Wellbeing Journey 2 and My Wellbeing Journey 3 (Gill Education), two Junior Cycle wellbeing textbooks used widely across Irish schools to help young people develop the knowledge and skills they need to navigate their lives.
We’d love to hear from you.
